Onion Gravy

Add a splash of juice to brighten up your gravy

Serves: 4


  • Apple & Ginger juice
  • Stock (ideally homemade stock but alternatively we like to useĀ marigold bouillon)
  • Onions, sliced
  • Mustard (optional)



Add equal measures of Apple & Ginger juice and stock, to sweated onions and reduce to make a delicious gravy for meaty pork sausages.

Swirl in some mustard for an extra dimension of flavour.

Cawston Tips

Adding a sprinkle of sugar to sauces and stews helps to bring out the flavour. We prefer to use a splash of juice instead.
